Studio Fees & Policies

My studio policy has evolved over the years to provide students flexibility in working with life’s unpredictable scheduling dilemmas.

With a finite number of hours available to teach each week, there is a limit to the number of students I can accept into my studio. As such, when you or your child make the commitment to study with me, it is important that you understand that you are reserving some of those finite hours. This makes last minute cancellations difficult to accommodate, and as a result, cancellation of lessons requires two weeks advance notice. However, it is almost always possible to reschedule a lesson if a conflict arises after the cancellation deadline. If you realize you will not be able to come during your scheduled lesson time, please contact me as soon as possible and I will do my best to help you find another time that works. If you cannot reschedule your lesson sometime during the same week then you forfeit that week’s tuition.

30 minutes – $60
45 minutes – $80
60 minutes – $95
Accompanist’s fee for Sunday cello classes – $20

Payment of tuition should be made at the beginning of the month for the entire month. Please remember to include the accompanist's fee for performance classes when appropriate.

I offer a limited number of need-based partial scholarships to make learning the cello more accessible to more children.
